The Almanac

A small register of the day for sixteen places in the lens: light, moon, and water. No forecast. No urgency. Just the page turning over.

Sun and moon are computed here — the NOAA solar formulas and the standard synodic model — so these pages are as correct next month as they were the day they built. Tide is the one thing we never compute. It comes from NOAA with the station named, or it is absent. Do not invent the water.

The numbered cards start at No. 1 on October 5, 2026. Each card is one day: tide highs and lows, the marine layer, the price-wire basket, the Morning Edition pick, and the weather. A missing line stays missing.

The daily cards

No. 1 is 2026-10-05. The live lines are on the card, and in /almanac.json.
