The Daily Almanac is a numbered card, one per day, at /almanac/. No. 1 is October 5, 2026. No. 2 is the next day. The collection grid is the archive. Each card reads five lines the town already keeps: tide highs and lows from NOAA station 9410660 at Los Angeles Outer Harbor, the marine-layer result or the settled sky call, the price-wire basket, the Morning Edition pick, and the weather.
A line that cannot be read is marked missing. Tide is NOAA or nothing. An empty basket says "no reports yet". The basket is not an official CPI. Weather is today's reading only. The JSON twin is /almanac.json, and one card is /almanac.json?date=YYYY-MM-DD. A share image is /og/almanac/YYYY-MM-DD.png. GET writes nothing. The place pages for sun and moon stay where they were.
